Prenylium™

Prenylium™ is a Morus alba tree root extract obtained by the Plant Milking technology allowing the culture of plants in aeroponic condition. This sustainable technology enables the exploration of unsourceable plant part such as roots without destroying tree. In addition, through an innovative process used to stimulate the growth of the roots, the content of targeted molecules is increased: +2000% of prenylated flavonoids in comparison to traditional mulberry roots. This class of bioactive compounds has a higher affinity with cellular membranes and better interaction with biological targets than standard flavonoids: they possess interesting variety of anti-aging activities such as anti-oxidant and immunoprotection.

Prenyliummodulates the expression of CCN1, a pivotal gene that affects the synthesis of some of the core elements constitutive of the skin extracellular matrix, such as collagen type I and III and decorin. Doing so, Prenylium™ protects the skin's core matrisome from degradation while counteracting ECM disorganization that increase with age.

For its mechanism of action and strong clinical results as well as for its sustainable sourcing, Prenylium™ won 3 prestigious awards in 2020:
