Polyglykol M 350 MB Terra

Polyglykol M 350 Terra is a linear, mono hydroxy-functional polyethylene glycol monomethyl ether (M-PEG) that is completely water soluble. Polyglykol M 350 Terra is esterified with methacrylic acid to yield the corresponding polyglycol mono methacrylates which are used for the polymerization of polycarboxylate superplasticizers.

It provides the same performance as its conventional counterpart.

As member of the Terra-family, the purpose of the mass-balanced supply chain model is to use bio-based or renewable raw materials. The mass balance is certified according to the ISCC Plus standards for the chemical industry.

 

This means:

    • Use of raw materials specified by the EU directive 2015/1513/EC Annex IX
    • No plastic waste
    • No animal origin
    • No palm oil/palm kernel oil

 

Additional value:

    • Replacement of fossil raw materials
    • Reduced product carbon footprint compared to same materials made from fossil based raw materials

Application
Polyglykol M 350 Terra is the raw material for 3rd generation superplasticizers.

It is also used as a chemical intermediate for paint additives.
