As the SEPAWA 2024 Congress gets underway in Berlin, Clariant is highlighting its innovative cleaning solutions with advanced sustainability features, GlucoPure Sense and the TexCare Terra range, that respond to an increasing market demand for high-performance and resource-efficient detergents.

Clariant, a sustainability-focused specialty chemical company, today hosted a MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) signing ceremony with its customer DS Dansuk at its Pohang production site in Korea to mark the commissioning of its Tonsil RNF series of high performing adsorbent that plays a pivotal role in the effective production and the needed ramp up of HVO(Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil)/SAF(Sustainable Aviation Fuel) from used cooking oil (UCO). The move further demonstrates Clariant's commitment to the Korea and Asia Pacific market, where sustainable solutions are under huge demand.

The catalyst will be used to remove trace oxygen from green hydrogen produced at the facility, before conversion into green ammonia. Carbon-free production of ammonia greatly reduces the environmental impact of this valuable base chemical needed for vital applications, such as fertilizer production. Green ammonia is also expected to play a key role in the world’s energy transition, offering versatile applications in transportation, power, and hydrogen supply.
