A tanned face accompanies youth and vitality. Early protection from sun exposure will retard the appearance of age. Automotive coatings exposed to these elements demand the same attention. The UV absorbers and HALS from Clariant contribute to protect the surfaces of cars in the same way that the ingredients of a strong sunscreen help to protect the skin. Light stabilizer solutions in which UV absorbers and HALS are synergistically combined provide high-performance solutions for automotive OEM clearcoat and refinish paints.
