Clariant, a sustainability-focused specialty chemical company, today celebrated a significant milestone at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) with the dual 10th anniversary of the TUM Catalysis Research Center (CRC) and the Dr. Karl Wamsler Innovation Award for Catalysis Research. The ceremony honored two outstanding scientists whose contributions are shaping the future of catalysis and sustainable chemistry.

Clariant today announced that on 16 July 2026, the company received another claim for damages against four companies, including Clariant, from Dow Europe with the court of Dortmund, Germany.

Clariant Oil Services today announced the successful offshore deployment of HYTREAT™ ECO, an anti-agglomerant low dosage hydrate inhibitor (LDHI-AA) technology that satisfies both the performance demands of deepwater hydrate management and OSPAR's stringent North Sea environmental requirements. Proven in offshore fields in both Norway and the United Kingdom, the technology represents a significant advancement in offshore flow assurance, enabling operators to reduce chemical consumption while maintaining reliable hydrate control in some of the world's most demanding deepwater environments.

In 2025, Clariant is proud to celebrate a significant milestone: 50 years of Exolit AP flame retardants protecting lives and property around the world. Based on advanced ammonium polyphosphate (APP) technology, these pioneering flame retardants have become the industry benchmark in a wide range of applications, including intumescent coatings, fire barrier sealing systems, thermoset composites for e-mobility battery housings and coatings, rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation foams and more. As Clariant marks this golden anniversary, it is not just celebrating past achievements but actively shaping the future of fire protection.

Clariant completes its CHF 100 million investment in the Daya Bay facility, with the second production line fully operational in November. This expanded capacity strengthens Clariant's ability to meet growing demand for more sustainable flame-retardant solutions in Asia and globally, particularly in the rapidly expanding e-mobility sector.
