In 2025, Clariant is proud to celebrate a significant milestone: 50 years of Exolit AP flame retardants protecting lives and property around the world. Clariant completes its CHF 100 million investment in the Daya Bay facility, with the second production line fully operational in November. The authorization, effective May 7, 2026, extends the company's existing FDA approval beyond polyester materials to include rigid PVC.

Clariant, a sustainability-focused specialty chemical company, today announced the successful operation of its FAMAX formaldehyde catalysts at two world-scale production facilities operated by Yihua Group in China. The advanced catalyst technology, integrated with process technology from engineering partner Wuxi Xiyuan Engineering Technology Co., Ltd., is delivering exceptional performance at both the major 100 kt/a formaldehyde plant in Inner Mongolia and the 120 kt/a formaldehyde plant in Hubei province.
