Hostanox OSP 1 is a high efficient  antioxidant and metal deactivator which prevents the auto-catalytic decomposition of polyolefins. The usage of metal deactivators is mandatory as long as the polyolefin based finished article comes into contact with transition metals, such as Cu, Fe, Ni, Ti, etc.

Insoluble in water
Hostanox OSP 1 is a metal deactivator with high migration- and extraction resistance. It is very suitable for plastics in particular for polyolefins which are in contact with metals e. g. cable filler black carbon and fittings. Furthermore, Hostanox OSP 1 leads to a remarkable improvement of the OIT value being required in polyethylene pipe applications. In addition, it is recommended for cross-linked polyethylene.

Storage
Minimum shelf life is 3 years from date of shipping when properly stored.
