EquiScalp™ is an extract obtained by the plant stem cells technology applied to the Fuji apple (“Malus domestica”).
It is rich in phloridzin, a molecule with anti-inflammatory and anti-lipogenesis activities. By targeting the scalp irritation process, it regulates two important inflammatory mediators, IL-1Ra and S100A8/9. The consequences are reductions in scalp desquamation, redness and sebum production. In parallel, while modifying the surface composition of the scalp in sebum and squames, the source of food of the scalp’s microbiota, EquiScalp does not modify the population and diversity of alive scalp bacteria.
