Global Technical Segment Manager, Coatings, Clariant International Ltd

Jean-Yves Desrats holds a Master’s Degree in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, from CPE Lyon, France. He joined Clariant in 1993 as an application and development engineer in the paints and printing inks laboratory, in charge of the development of pigment dispersions and technical service. He later held the position as Head of Laboratory for special applications. In 2003, he joined the Coatings team as Technical Marketing Manager, responsible for the decorative and wood coatings segment within the Business Unit Pigments. In 2008, he moved to BU Additives and is currently Global Technical Segment Manager for Coatings, within the Business Line Performance Additives.
