Carlos Rodríguez Gaya 

Head of Technical Sales and Product Management, Clariant

Carlos Rodríguez Gaya leads Product Management and Technical Sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa within Clariant’s Functional Minerals Business Unit. A chemical engineer specializing in chemical process from Madrid University, he joined REPSOL after graduating, with responsibilities across several research programs. He joined Clariant in 2010 where he focused on new solution development as Head of Quality and Application Development in Spain. He then took on the role as Technical Support for EMEA where he advanced the understanding of the different needs of the purification process and gaining extensive experience across multiple aspects of the edible oil and biofuel industry. Having achieved his Innovation Black Belt, as part of his current role as Product Manager he leads the innovation pipeline for the Functional Minerals Business Unit, guiding the company’s new solution offerings. Carlos is Spanish and is married with one daughter.
