German Innovation Prize Nomination for Exolit OP

Clariant was amongst the nominated finalists for the prestigious German business innovation prize “Innovationspreis der Deutschen Wirtschaft 2012/2013” for its non-halogenated flame retardant Exolit® OP. A total of 275 companies entered the annual competition, awarded in four categories, which recognizes the most significant scientific, technical, business and intellectual innovations. Although Exolit® did not win the prize, Dr. Martin Sicken, Head Technical Marketing & Development Flame Retardants, and his team are proud of their success: “Being nominated as the only chemical company finalist in the industrial category by such a top-ranking jury of leading science and business representatives is a major honour. We take this as an affirmation and motivation to consequently pursue our forward looking strategy based on innovation.”
