Clariant included in Dow Jones Sustainability Index

Muttenz, September 11, 2014 - Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, today was once again included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI), one of the most renowned sustainability indices globally. The listing names Clariant within the European DJSI (DJSI Europe), once again, as well as in the global DJSI (DJSI World). In doing so, analysts at RobecoSAM have confirmed that when it comes to sustainability, Clariant is among the top 10 percent of leading companies worldwide in the chemical industry. Clariant has made further progress in various fields of sustainability in order to be listed in the DJSI, demonstrating outstanding and sustainable performance in economic, environmental and social dimensions.

It assesses various criteria, including risk and supply chain management, operational eco-efficiency, product stewardship, human capital development and occupational health and safety.
