Our commitments

At Clariant, responsible sourcing means an untiring commitment to upholding high social, environmental, and governance standards when making sourcing decisions. Our suppliers are seen as partners in possibility, and our supply chain relationships are a key part of our success.

Our Supplier Code of Ethics and our supplier sustainability journey are the foundation, helping our suppliers to understand and meet our sustainability requirements and promote continuous improvement in their sustainability performance. Through our membership in the Together for Sustainability (TfS) initiative, we strive to drive sustainability performance in our supply chain and to promote transparency and solidarity.

By working with our suppliers, we are not just managing risks. We are also creating opportunities that make business sense and position our customers, our supply chain partners, and us at the forefront of a sustainable world, collaborating for meaningful impact and making a difference.

Responsible sourcing is a strategic imperative grounded in transparency, integrity, and collaboration. Our goal is to build resilient supply chains that uphold high social, environmental, and governance standards, while unlocking innovation and value at every step of the process.

We believe that transformation happens through collaboration. Your innovation matters. Your commitment counts. Together, we can turn supply chain challenges into competitive advantages.

Our programs and targets

At Clariant, we are committed to building a sustainable supply chain that aligns with our core values. Through our comprehensive responsible sourcing program, we annually define ambitious targets to increase supply chain resilience and drive Scope 3 greenhouse gas reduction within our supply chain.

The diagram illustrates the relationship between four key factors in a supply chain: Price, Sustainability, On-time Delivery, and Product Quality. These factors are interconnected and influence each other in a continuous cycle.

- **Price** affects and is affected by Product Quality and On-time Delivery.
- **Sustainability** overlaps with Product Quality, indicating that sustainable practices are linked to the quality of the product.
- **On-time Delivery** is connected to Price and Product Quality, suggesting that timely delivery impacts cost and quality.
- **Product Quality** is central, overlapping with all other factors, highlighting its importance in the supply chain.

The circular arrows around the diagram indicate a continuous, cyclical process where these factors constantly interact and influence each other, emphasizing the dynamic nature of supply chain management.

Expanding impact through collaborative supply chain responsibility

Through key global partnerships such as Together for Sustainability (TfS), the Science Based Targets Initiative, and the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil, we help shape industry best practices and set ambitious sustainability benchmarks.

A strong example is our long-standing membership of Together for Sustainability. Since 2014, Clariant has leveraged the TfS framework—including EcoVadis supplier assessments and on-site audits—to improve transparency, reduce procurement risks, and strengthen performance across chemical supply chains.

We believe that transformation happens through collaboration. Your innovation matters. Your commitment counts. Together, we can turn supply chain challenges into competitive advantages.

Working with our suppliers: transparency in our supply chains

We expect our suppliers to uphold ethical, responsible business practices, including respect for human rights, fair labor, environmental stewardship, and zero tolerance for corruption. These principles are laid out in our Supplier Code of Ethics, which is binding for all our suppliers and contractors globally.
