In the world of industrial packaging, raffia, amongst others, is playing a significant role in bulk packaging. Globally, millions of tons of goods are packed, stored and transported in standard small size bags or in more demanding jumbo bags called FIBCs (flexible intermediate bulk containers). The use of raffia as a packaging material is increased by the continued development of the raffia fabric quality and manufacturing efficiencies.

Clariant polymer additives increase the mechanical performance of the woven bags, allowing for improved processability and high filler levels. In addition, our additive solutions allow for higher recycled content as well as improved resistance to UV light.
