Hordaphos 222 is a clear, colourless to yellowish liquid with an ester-like odour. It has reacts acidic and can be neutralized with organic and inorganic bases.
Hordaphos 222 is emulsifiable in water and soluble in common organic solvents.
Hordaphos 222 is miscible with naphthenic and paraffinic mineral oils and with commercial vegetable and animal oils. Despite this good compatibility its miscibility with the mineral oils and other additives used should be tested before use.

Hordaphos 222 exhibits excellent dispersing properties for solid particles and can be used in cleaning agents, as EP additive for metal working fluids and as dispersing agent in pigment preparations.

Hordaphos 222 is used in liquid wool and light-duty detergents for hand and machine washing in the temperature range between 20 °C and 30 °C.
Furthermore, Hordaphos 222 is an excellent emulsifier for water in chlorinated hydrocarbons and petroleum spirit.

Hordaphos 222 is delivered in 50 kg net PE tight head drums (400 kg pallets), 200 kg net PE tight head drums (800kg pallets) or 1000 kg semi bulk containers.
Storage
Hordaphos 222 must be stored in its tightly closed original container in a cool frost-free place away from direct sunlight. If the product becomes turbid, thickens or freezes through exposure to cold, thaw slowly at room temperature and afterwards stir briefly.
Minimum shelf life is 12 months from the date of shipping when stored according to the said conditions.
