Clariant’s MetaMax™ catalyst is specially designed for metathesis, one of the most economical methods to increase propylene production via conversion from light olefins. The metathesis catalyst offers high activity and selectivity to maximize propylene yields while minimizing by-product formation, thus improving overall plant economics. Propylene producers also benefit from high feed flexibility, outstanding stability and long operating cycles. MetaMax is suitable for use in new plants or as a drop-in replacement for refills and revamps of existing metathesis units.
MetaMax is complemented by a complete suite of catalysts (OleMax™) and adsorbents (ZeoSorb™, ActiSorb™) for feed processing and purification of C2 and C4 olefins, making Clariant a full-scope supplier for metathesis plants.
