Hostaphat AKT Liq. is an ethoxylated phosphate ester that is water soluble and provides efficient EP/AW additive as well as corrosion inhibiting properties for aluminum alloys. It is used for metalworking fluid formulations, specifically synthetic or water-based metalworking fluids. Hostaphat AKT performs very well as a corrosion inhibitor for non-ferrous metals, including but not limited to aluminum, copper, and brass. It is a very effective in-can corrosion inhibitor for aerosol containers and works synergistically with Genamin CH 020 to reduce cobalt leaching in metalworking fluids. Typical treat rates range from 0.5-3.0 % in the concentrate.
