Polyglykol PE-K 270 S Plus is a high-performance lubricant, especially designed for the use in high pressure production processes of low density polyethylene (LDPE). It is a polyalkylene glycol (EO/PO random copolymer) with an excellent intrinsic lubricity and a high viscosity index, showing a favorable pressure-viscosity relationship.

OEM approval from Burckhardt Compression

The pumpability of the Polyglykol PE-K 270 has been approved by Burckhardt Compression for cylinder lubrication of secondary compressors equipped with “CH” lubrication pumps in high pressure polyethylene processes for the production of Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) up to an allowable maximum discharge pressure of

  • 237 MPa at a minimum oil temperature of 20 °C 3200 bar at a minimum oil temperature of 35 °C
  • 353 MPa at a minimum oil temperature of 35 °C
  • MPa at a minimum oil temperature of 50 °C

 

Food grade approval
Polyglykol PE-K 270 S Plus is NSF-H1 listed. It is also compliant with the food regulations from the US (FDA 21 CFR § 178.3570) and the European Union (EC Directive 10/2011/EC).

Safe use and handling
Polyglykol PE-K 270 S Plus has a favorable eco-tox profile and is free of human and environmental hazard labels according to the CLP/GHS (Globally harmonized system of classification, labeling and packaging of chemical substances and mixtures).

Broad registration status
Polyglykol PE-K 270 S Plus is a polymeric material and therefore REACH-exempted. The monomers have been registered under REACH. It is registered in all major chemical inventories.
