Liquid runway De-/Anti-Icers
Clariant liquid runway de-/anti-icing products are manufactured and certified according to AMS 1435 specifications.
Liquid runway de-/anti-icers are be used in combination with "classic" mechanical clearing methods to ensure safe take-offs and landings.
Clariant’s runway de-/anti-icers offer three distinct advantages: they melt ice and snow effectively, provide protection against re-freezing (holdover) and set new standards in environmental friendliness.
Clariant supplies liquid runway de-icers based on potassium acetate or potassium formate.
Solid runway De-/Anti-Icers
Clariant solid runway de-/anti-icing products are manufactured and certified according to AMS 1431 specifications.
Solid runway de-/anti-icers are used in combination with "classic" mechanical clearing methods to ensure safe take-offs and landings.
For the most economical use of the Safeway™ de-/anti-icers, apply the solid Clariant Safeway™ product to the ice- or packed snow layer, in which it will develop holes. When the liquid Safeway™ de-/anti-icers are then applied, the liquid has a path to the pavement surface and quickly breaks the pack prior to mechanical removal.
