Clariant Oil Services, a global leader in the development of corrosion control and inhibition technologies, has recently developed several new CORRTREAT™ corrosion inhibitors that are suitable for extreme and severe conditions. Developed with a very low viscosity at sub-zero temperatures, and stable in extremely harsh environments, Clariant Oil Services considers this new range of technologies to be a milestone in the development of its CORRTREAT product line for extreme environments. These new technologies are exceptionally effective in severe conditions found in places such as the Alaskan North Slope, Russia and Northern Canada.

Clariant Oil Services’ recent developments in the CORRTREAT product line for extreme environments are cutting-edge technologies that are highly effective in the difficult environments found in very sour oil and gas production systems, like those in Canada and Turkmenistan, as well as those found in sweet systems such as those in Canada and Alaska. Other applications for Clariant Oil Services’ CORRTREAT corrosion control and inhibition technologies include oil and gas processing, downhole, deepwater and transportation systems.

Furthermore, according to the producer, when compared to the overall best performers from the past 10 years, the Clariant Oil Services’ CORRTREAT technology was again selected as the best performed product tested for this field.
