ActiSorb™ S 3 is a highly effective zinc oxide-based adsorbent designed for the removal of sulfur components, such as hydrogen sulfide, mercaptans and COS, from hydrocarbon feed streams. It is recommended for applications with standard space velocities and relatively high inlet sulfur concentrations.

ActiSorb™ S6 is a copper-promoted zinc oxide adsorbent for deep desulfurization of hydrocarbon feed streams, especially upstream of a pre-reformer. It is typically placed in the bottom of the standard zinc-oxide reactor and removes the remaining hydrogen sulfide (H2S) to a value of less than 10 ppb.

Hostagliss 1510 is used as lubricity improver in rolling emulsions and cutting & forming fluids. It is a polar polymer of high molecular weight and with multiple functional groups exhibiting a high affinity to metal surfaces. Due to the products high degree of saturation, it shows an excellent oxidative and thermal resistance but also hydrolytical stability.

The alkali and alkaline earth salts of Hostagel HT 300 are used as gel-forming agents or thickeners for the production of greases for special applications at high and low temperatures, exposure to high pressure, high and low revolutions, aggressive media, etc. The average concentration used is 10 % by weight, calculated on the liquid basestock. These so-called terephthalamate greases have relatively high drop points, very good water stability and low penetration values. Depending on the property and application of the grease, mineral oils as well as synthetic oils such as dicarboxylicacid esters, silicones/siloxanes, polyalkylene glycols, polyalphaolefines, alkyl benzenes and polyalkylene ethers can be used as basestocks.

Hordaphos MDGB is an effective corrosion inhibitor for acidic aqueous systems, e.g. for cleaners for the food processing industry. Hostapur DTC Hi Conc is an ether carboxylic acid with excellent emulsification and dispersing properties. It is used for metal working fluids, fire resistant hydraulic fluids (HFA-S) and rolling emulsions. The product is extremely stable against electrolyte and hard water. Furthermore Hostapur DTC Hi Conc shows outstanding lime soap dispersing power, being able to disperse large quantities of calcium oleate or tallate.

HYDEX™ E is an economical distillate dewaxing and isomerization catalyst for highly paraffinic feedstocks in winter diesel. The distillate upgrading catalyst minimizes naphtha production, while allowing improved product swelling and cetane numbers, and enhancing cold flow in the diesel boiling range.

HYDEX™ L is a distillate upgrading catalyst used for hydro-dewaxing. The zeolite-based catalyst selectively hydrocracks waxy molecules to short chain products while leaving valuable properties of lube oil unchanged, and thus helping producers meet critical specifications.

Hostagliss PA 165 is a polar polymer with multiple functional groups, exhibiting a high affinity to metal surfaces. Despite its fully saturated structure (contains no unsaturated C=C bonds) it remains liquid and pourable down to temperatures of less than -20°C. Hostagliss PA 165 has good lubricity and anti-wear properties. Therefore, it is used as a component for non-water miscible metal working fluids, such as cutting- or deep drawing oils. Other applications are gear/engine oils and greases. Hostagliss PA 165 can also be used as an additive for emulsifiable metal working fluids to improve anti wear properties.

Genapol EP 0244 is a low foam, nonionic, alkoxylated alcohol with hard water stability. Its excellent emulsifying and degreasing properties make it suitable for spray, immersion, and ultrasonic cleaning applications. Good compatibility with aqueous acids and bases makes it stable in a range of formulation types.

Genapol PN 30 is a EO/PO block copolymer resistant against water hardness, metal salts, acids and alkalis in practice-orientated concentrations. As non-ionic surfactant it can be used in combination with other non-ionic compounds and with anionic and cationic substances. Because of its interfacial activity and low foaming behaviour Genapol PN 30 is especially suitable for the manufacture of low foaming cleaners.

The catalyst EnviCat N2O-S removes nitrous oxide (N2O) from the off-gas of nitric acid (HNO3) plants. Nitrous oxide – also known as happy gas or laughing gas – is around 300 times more harmful to the climate than CO2. EnviCat N2O-S is a so-called “secondary abatement catalyst”: it is installed in the ammonia oxidation reactor directly underneath the primary precious metal gauze pack in a reactor basket.

EquiScalp is an extract obtained by the plant stem cells technology applied to the Fuji apple (“Malus domestica”). This sustainable process allows the production of large quantities of product with only a small quantity of biological material at the beginning of the process. EquiScalp is rich in phloridzin, a molecule with anti-inflammatory and anti-lipogenesis activities. It also acts as a cleansing agent in face lotions and as non-greasy lubricant and perfume stabilizer in after-shave lotions. It can be used in lipsticks as solubilizers for tetrabromo fluorescein and its derivatives and in hair care products where improves the consistency of non-greasy hair care products which can be washed out with clear water. It counteracts the tendency of these products to dry to a brittle film. It has very low water content, good biodegradability and is compatible with hard water. Polyglykol 400 is also used in hair styling products as a plasticizer and anti-static agent. It is also applicable in toothpaste where it improves consistency and storage stability

VitiPure HCO is obtained by hydrogenation of castor oil. Hydrogenated castor oil is vegetable origin (castor oil) and is hydrophobic in nature. VitiPure HCO is in powder form intended for solid oral and topical use. At room temperature it is a fine milled solid powder with a high melting point (>80°C). In solid oral dose formulations, VitiPure HCO is applied as hydrophobic lubricant and as sustained release agent in solid oral formulations. In topical preparations, VitiPure HCO is used as viscosity enhancer and as consistency factor.

VitiPure™ L 20 Superior is a non-ionic solubilizer and emulsifying agent for human and veterinary pharmaceutical markets. Desiccant cartridges provide protection against moisture related issues for a wide range of applications in containers, cases, electrical and optical devices. Clariant´s range contains different designs and finishes: Desiccant cartridges come with Molecular Sieve fill or Silica Gel fill due to different specification or end uses. Most of our desiccant cartridges are designed to meet military specifications and are listed under a NATO-Stock- Number (NSN). Special designs are available on demand and reflect a customized development based on our experience.

ADSORMAT open-system desiccator plugs are mounted on the vent nozzles of drums, KTC/IBCs and tanks. ADSORMAT dries the column of air above the product in the container, as well as any humid air subsequently flowing in through the vent nozzle as the container is emptied. This prevents chemical reactions which may otherwise occur in a humid atmosphere. Each ADSORMAT desiccant plug is fitted with a reversible humidity indicator, the color change showing when its capacity limit has been reached.

It is effective against a wide range of common spoilage organisms and can be used over a pH range 4-9 and temperature range up to 40°C.

Nipacide DFX 1 is an aqueous dispersion dry film fungicide based on Carbendazim, Diuron and Octyl isothiazolinone. Nipacide DFX1 is recommended for protection of a wide range of coating applications including water based decorative paints, wood stains and colours. Nipacide DFX 1 is effective against a wide range of fungal and algal species, responsible for the discoloration and degradation of surface coatings.

Nipacide CI 15 HS is an in-can biocide based on CMIT/MIT. Nipacide CI 15 HS is a water-based, low toxicity biocide developed for the complete in-can protection of water based products including water based /Latex/PVA adhesives, PVA / Acrylic polymer emulsions, water based decorative paints, printing inks, metal working fluids and construction admixtures. Nipacide CI 15 HS is effective against a wide range of microorganisms including gram positive and gram negative bacteria, yeast and fungi. Thermal and pH stability for Nipacide CI 15 HS is a critical consideration and it should not be used for products with pH > 9 or production temperatures of > 40 °C.

ActiSorb™ S7 RS is designed for the removal of trace sulfur compounds from liquid hydrocarbon streams, such as naphtha purification in catalytic reformers and isomerization units. Due to its computer designed shape (CDS) and high nickel content, ActiSorb S7 RS has a much higher capacity for sulfur than standard nickel-based materials and copper-based adsorbents. This makes it ideal for applications requiring fine purification. Since ActiSorb S7 RS is non-selective, it can efficiently remove a wide range of refractory sulfur species such as H2S, disulfides, mercaptans and thiophenes under a wide range of operating conditions.

AmoMax™ 10RS is a highly active wustite-based ammonia synthesis catalyst, which is manufactured by reduction and subsequent stabilization of oxidic AmoMax 10. Pre-reduction not only shortens start-up time, but also decreases the formation of reduction water during activation. As with the oxidic form, AmoMax 10RS offers outstanding activity – much higher than magnetite-based ammonia synthesis catalysts. ActiSorb™ CI 6 is a high capacity chloride adsorbent designed for efficient removal of HCl and RCl (organic chlorides) in liquid phase applications. OleMax™ 260 is a new generation selective acetylene hydrogenation catalyst designed for ethylene production using front-end process configurations. While OleMax series catalysts have been proven in commercial operation for decades, the new catalyst offers ultra-high selectivity for acetylene hydrogenation yet virtually no reactivity with ethylene. This maximizes product yields while minimizing energy and raw material consumption.Moreover, the promoted-palladium catalyst all but eliminates the risk of runaways by pushing runaway temperature far beyond standard operating temperature. The exceptional selectivity and consequent stability of OleMax 260 ensures reliable, on-specification performance over an unprecedentedly wide operating range, even at the extremely low CO levels typical of new cracking furnace technologies.

OleMax™ 600 series catalysts are optimized for first-stage hydrotreatment of pyrolysis gasoline (pygas) via selective hydrogenation. Thanks to their high selectivity, the catalysts convert diolefins (dienes), and remove acetylenes and styrene, with no loss of valuable BTX materials (benzene, toluene and xylene isomers). Other performance advantages of the palladium-based catalysts include very high activity and excellent physical durability. The C5+ fraction of raw pyrolysis gasoline must undergo two-stage hydrotreatment to saturate diolefins, olefins, and aromatic unsaturates (especially styrene) before use in other processes. In addition to the above-mentioned OleMax 600 catalysts for the first stage of this process, Clariant also offers the OleMax™ 800 series for second-stage hydrotreatment.

OleMax™ 350 is the proven catalyst series for liquid phase methylacetylene and propadiene (MAPD) hydrogenation in tail-end process configurations. Thanks to their computer designed shape (CDS) and optimized palladium dispersion, the catalysts offer unparalleled selectivity and activity to maximize conversion of MADP and increase propylene yields for use in downstream processes. Depending on operating conditions, the palladium-based catalysts offer a very long life cycle of 10 to 15 years. Another important advantage of the catalysts is their ability to minimize green oil formation, thus preventing contamination and fouling.

The OleMax™ 800 catalyst series is developed for second-stage hydrotreatment of commercial pyrolysis gasoline (pygas) units. The catalysts selectively hydrogenate olefins from the pygas, while also converting organic sulfur to hydrogen sulfide via hydrodesulfurization. Due to their high selectivity, the catalysts prevent loss of valuable BTX aromatics (benzene, toluene and xylene isomers). OleMax 800 series catalysts also offer excellent activity at low operating temperatures, and extremely low pressure drop. EnviCat™ DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) catalysts greatly reduce emissions of Particulate Matter, CO and hydrocarbons (HC). The catalyzed wall-flow filters offer efficient emission control at low regeneration temperatures. Hard-rock and base-metal mines sensitive to NO2 – in particular underground mines – must control vehicle emissions. Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs) provide a primary means for the removal of toxic particulate matter, while maintaining low emissions of poisonous NO2. The lower the temperature the DPF regenerates at, the better its overall performance. However, many passive emission control systems require high concentrations of NO2 or high exhaust temperatures to regenerate. Clariant offers a passively regenerating DPF that works across a very broad temperature range.

The EnviCat N2O catalyst removes nitrous oxide (N2O) from the tail gas of nitric acid plants. Nitrous oxide – commonly known as happy gas or laughing gas – is extremely harmful for our climate because of its about 25 times greater longevity in the earth's atmosphere than CO2. The catalyst removes nearly all of the nitrous oxide from the tail gas of nitric acid plants. It also renders innocuous other nitrogen oxides (often called NOx) that represent a considerable pollution threat. The nitrous oxide is converted in two stages: in the first stage, the nitrous oxide is decomposed to oxygen and nitrogen with the aid of the catalyst EnviCat N2O. In the second stage, the nitrogen oxides are mixed with ammonia to produce harmless nitrogen and water. N2O and NOx are reduced in this process by ammonia and/or short-chain alkanes like methane or propane yielding nitrogen as harmless product.

EnviCat NSCR has been developed to remove nitrous oxide (N2O) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) from industrial off-gases.It is used in Non-Selective Catalytic Reductions (NSCR) applications such as Nitric Acid plants. The catalyst operates like a three-way catalytic converters: Nitrous oxide (N2O) and nitrogen oxides are reduced by hydrocarbons in the absence of oxygen. This technology is especially useful if the tail-gas contains a broad spectrum of non-methane hydrocarbons, in addition to N2O and NOx, as all will be converted by the catalyst.

Based on the technique of catalytic oxidation, EnviCat VOC effectively removes harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and carbon monoxide (CO) from industrial off-gases. It can reduce the energy consumption of thermal units by up to 40%. The catalyst is suitable for numerous industries that emit VOCs, such as the chemicals, food, printing, and energy production sectors.

Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) is a robust and cost effective technology for reduction of nitrogen oxides (NOx) from industrial off-gases at low to medium temperatures. NOx consists primarily of nitric oxide (NO) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2). The largest output of NOx emissions from non-automotive sources emanate from coal fired boilers, especially those in power generation. Petrochemical processes also produce large amounts of NOx, originating from utility boilers, cogeneration units, process heaters, steam methane reformers, ethylene cracking furnaces and fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) regeneration units. NOx contributes to the formation of smog, ground level ozone, acid rain, and other hazards. EnviCat NOx facilitates NOx reduction reactions in the presence of oxygen. It uses ammonia (NH3) as a reducing agent to convert NOx pollutants into harmless nitrogen and water. The catalyst has been demonstrated to effectively lower NOx emissions from gas fired exhaust streams.

At Clariant, we have been developing and manufacturing catalysts to clean exhaust gases from combustion processes since the early 1980s. They are used for engines running on various fuels, such as natural gas, diesel, bio-diesel, LPG, landfill gas, synthetics, dimethyl ether, alcohols, or methane. EnviCat TWC is a three-way catalyst (TWC) for engine emission control. It removes volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from the off-gases of stationary engines and gas turbines. The catalyst oxidizes carbon monoxide (CO) and other hydrocarbons (HCs). At the same time, it reduces nitrogen oxides (NOx) into CO2, water and nitrogen. It can be used in rich-burn applications with air-fuel-ratio control (lambda control).

EnviCat GP catalysts address the high quality demands of technical gases, reducing the level of impurities to minimal levels. The catalyst effectively purifies carbon dioxide (CO2), which is used in the production of urea (CH4N2O): After the steam reforming process, which produces hydrogen from a hydrocarbon stream, the CO2 is separated. This CO2 must be purified: impurities such as hydrogen (H2), hydrocarbons (HCs), and carbon monoxide (CO) need to be removed so it can be reused for the urea synthesis process. EnviCat GP also purifies oxygen (O2) which has been produced via electrolysis: In a process called electrolysis, water (H2O) is decomposed into hydrogen (H2) and oxygen (O2) by passing an electric current. High-purity oxygen is required for many chemical processes. Any remaining traces of hydrogen must therefore be eliminated. EnviCat GP removes these trace impurities to achieve the necessary purity. EnviCat GP catalysts are used to purify CO2 of impurities to minimal (ppb) levels for use in food and beverage applications.

HYSOPAR™ 5000 is an upgrading catalyst for isomerization of C5 and C6 feedstocks, enabling cost-effective octane enhancement in fuel. The catalyst has set standards in performance and robustness over the last ten years, as demonstrated in numerous isomerization units around the world.

HYDEX™ G is a distillate upgrading catalyst used to greatly improve cold flow properties of high-sulfur middle distillates, ranging from kerosene to heavy diesel, via selective mild hydrocracking of long-chain normal paraffins. The zeolite-based catalyst is extremely robust and fully regenerable.

HYSOPAR™ 6000 is a platinum-promoted zeolite-based upgrading catalyst for isomerization of C5 and C6 naphtha feedstocks which enables cost-effective octane enhancement in fuel. The higher density of the catalyst’s active sites increases conversion even with limited reactor volume.

K catalysts are acid-activated bentonites designed for slurry-based reactions. Key parameters of the solid-acid catalysts – such as acidity, porosity, surface area or cation exchange capacity – can be optimized for specific applications. The meso- and macroporous catalysts are based on alumosilicates.

HYSOPAR™ 7000 is a distillate upgrading catalyst designed for isomerization of C7+ feedstocks which allows cost-effective enhancement of fuel properties, such as knock resistance, cold flow, and vapor pressure. The catalyst can be used to upgrade cold flow properties of hydrogenated vegetable oil (HVO), also frequently called diesel or renewable diesel.

FAMAX™ 200 is a next-generation catalyst for methanol to formaldehyde oxidation that is optimized to enhance plant efficiency. The catalyst’s advanced composition and design achieve higher specific formaldehyde production at lower cooling medium temperatures, thus increasing overall plant economy.

AC 6120 catalysts are designed for the removal of radioactive inorganic iodine as well as iodine bound in organic compounds such as methyl iodine (iodomethane). The adsorbers are commonly used in nuclear power plants, nuclear waste reprocessing plants, and nuclear off-gas or air monitoring systems.

HYDEX™ C is a high-conversion dewaxing and isomerization catalyst with selective ring-opening functionality which increases naphtha yields. The distillate upgrading catalyst’s unique composition ensures improved product swelling, high cetane numbers, and improved cold flow in the diesel boiling range.

CMG 1 is a zeolite-based catalyst designed for the conversion of methanol to gasoline (CMG), also known as the methanol to gasoline (MTG) process. CMG 1 is industrially proven to offer excellent performance in cost-effective production of high-quality gasoline-blending compounds from methanol.CMG 1 is typically used as a second-stage catalyst, after the dimethyl ether (DME) reactor is loaded with the SynMax™ sulfur recovery catalyst.

HDMax® 800 is a platinum-based distillate upgrading catalyst for hydrogenation of lighter feedstock, such as naphtha, to light diesel. Due to its special shape and dimensions, the catalyst offers superior activity and robustness, as well as favorable options for heat integration in hydrofinishing.

SHUMax™ catalysts are designed for the removal of dienes from olefin streams in selective hydrogenation units (SHU’s) downstream of cracking equipment. The palladium-based fuel upgrading catalysts are offered in a variety of forms and customized to the specific requirements of each refinery.

DSM 11 is a catalyst for the removal of radioactive inorganic iodine in nuclear power plants, nuclear waste reprocessing plants, and off-gas and air monitoring systems. It has been designed for the selective absorption of inorganic iodine in the presence of organic iodine compounds such as methyl iodine. In combination with Clariant's AC 6120 – which absorbs both iodine bound in organic compounds and inorganic iodine – complete iodine-balances can be generated.

ActiSorb G 1 is a copper promoted zinc oxide used for the purification of natural gas containing low concentrations of total sulphur. Simultaneous hydrosulphurisation and H2S pick-up is a feature unique to ActiSorb G 1. Even when saturated it fully retains its hydrogenation capabilities.

ActiSorb™ GP 108 is a high-capacity adsorbent designed for removal of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) in hydrocarbon gas streams. The copper-based formulation offers excellent activity at low temperatures, while maintaining simple, reliable operations. Its high capacity reduces cycle length and overall costs.

ActiSorb™ GP 110 is specifically tailored to remove sulfur from wet hydrocarbon gas streams operating at ambient temperatures. The adsorbent’s accessible copper formulation ensures excellent sulfur adsorption capacity, while maintaining its physical characteristics throughout its use.

ActiSorb™ GP 105 is a fast-reacting adsorbent for the purification of hydrocarbon gas streams containing hydrogen sulfide (H2S). The mixed-metal sulfur scavenger offers outstanding activity and selectivity to ensure effective sulfur removal at low temperatures.

ActiSorb™ GP 101 is a sulfur adsorbent used for purification of hydrocarbon gas streams containing hydrogen sulfide. It is formed from high-grade iron oxide by a proprietary process that creates a high surface area. It is ideal for H2S removal in biogas, natural gas, and streams high in CO and CO2.

The VAMax™ series of selective oxidation catalysts offers high activity for Vinyl-Acetate Monomer (VAM) producers. VAM is produced by reacting ethylene and acetic acid with oxygen (oxy-acetylation) in the presence of a catalyst. It is an essential building block for various polymer and co-polymer derivatives.

AcryloMax™ allows more profitable and efficient production of acrylonitrile (AN), which is an important intermediate in the value chain of plastics and synthetic fibers for the automotive and textile industries. AN is produced from propylene, ammonia and air in contact with a catalyst. The AcryloMax catalyst enables synthesis of acrylonitrile via ammoxidation of propylene in a fluidized bed reactor. Hydrogen cyanide (HCN) is also generated as a valuable side product.

EleMax™ catalysts are designed for storing hydrogen from renewable energy sources, such as wind or hydro power. They are used in an innovative technique developed by Clariant’s partner, Hydrogenious Technologies, to transport hydrogen by chemically binding the molecules to Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carriers (LOHC). In the method, hydrogenation of the liquid organic hydrocarbon dibenzyltoluene via EleMax H “stores” hydrogen, while its dehydrogenation with EleMax D “releases” hydrogen on demand. This provides the handling flexibility required for widespread roll-out of hydrogen production from renewable power sources (Power-to-Gas, Power-to-X).

ReforMax™ 410 LDP is a highly active and robust catalyst for secondary reforming in the production of syngas, such as ammonia and methanol. The nickel oxide catalyst helps to minimize attrition during operation, thus preventing deposits in the waste heat boiler downstream. Thanks to its 10-hole shape, ReforMax 410 LDP also decreases pressure drop. The secondary reforming catalyst is typically used for the bulk of the reactor load.

ReforMax™ 330 LDP is a nickel-based catalyst for steam reforming of NG (natural gas) in the production of ammonia, hydrogen and methanol. The catalyst offers high activity and outstanding stability in a 10-hole ring shape that ensures low pressure drop. Syngas producers also benefit from the suppression of coke (carbon) formation, especially when ReforMax 330 LDP is combined with ReforMax 210 LDP. Based on more than 60 years of expertise in catalysis, Clariant’s ReforMax series is commercially proven to be highly effective for a variety of feed conditions and process designs.

ReforMax™ 330 LDP Plus is a novel steam reforming and autothermal reforming catalyst for ammonia, hydrogen and methanol production. Based on ReforMax 330 LDP, the new catalyst’s floral 8-hole form lowers pressure drop by an additional 20% while offering its predecessor’s high activity and selectivity.ReforMax 330 LDP Plus is designed with a larger hole diameter, which greatly improves heat transfer. Moreover, by significantly reducing pressure drop, the innovative reforming catalyst enables higher gas throughput, as well as considerable energy savings in the production of ammonia, hydrogen and methanol. Syngas producers also benefit from the suppression of coke (carbon) formation, especially when ReforMax 330 LDP Plus is combined with ReforMax 210 LDP Plus.

ShiftMax™ 207 is an extremely robust low temperature shift (LTS) catalyst with high copper dispersion, resulting in outstanding activity and stability for water gas shift reactions. The catalyst also offers high CO conversion over its long lifetime, excellent poison resistance and superior strength.ShiftMax 207 is also available as ShiftMax™ 217, which is specially promoted to further minimize methanol by-product formation. Both state-of-the-art syngas catalysts are successfully operated in numerous commercial LTS reactors worldwide, where they have proven their outstanding performance and stability.

ReforMax™ 400 GG is an active guard catalyst for secondary and autothermal reforming in the production of syngas, such as ammonia and methanol. It is typically used as a heat shield in the top layer instead of hexagonal target bricks. Unlike alumina balls and lumps, ReforMax 400 GG is catalytically active, and helps lower the bed temperature due to the endothermic reaction. The syngas catalyst is also ideal for use as a bottom-active support layer where extreme short loadings are required, or as a replacement for high-purity inert supports.

ShiftMax™ 210 is an extremely robust low temperature shift (LTS) catalyst with excellent copper dispersion, resulting in high activity and stability for water gas shift reactions. The syngas catalyst also offers high CO conversion over a long lifetime, high poison resistance, and superior strength.ShiftMax 210 is successfully operated in numerous commercial LTS reactors worldwide, where it has demonstrated its outstanding performance and stability.

ShiftMax™ 217 is a promoted version of our high-performance ShiftMax™207 low temperature shift (LTS) catalyst. The special promoter minimizes methanol by-product formation without decreasing the catalyst’s outstanding activity and stability for water gas shift reactions. Both ShiftMax syngas catalysts also feature high CO conversion over their long lifetimes, excellent poison resistance and superior physical strength. ShiftGuard™ 100 is a ring-shaped, inert guard material based on high temperature fired alumina, which offers superior strength and surface area to effectively protect HTS (high temperature shift) catalysts, such as ShiftMax™ 120 and ShiftMax 120 HCF, from upstream waste heat boiler leakages. Typically, a layer of 5-10% ShiftGuard 100 is installed on top of the main HTS catalyst bed to protect it from foreign material, such as dust, water droplets or salts. The guard material also inhibits the formation of a crusted layer on the catalyst bed, and prevents crushing of downstream catalysts.

Babaçu oil comes from the seed of a palm tree very present in the state of Maranhão, and from the Amazon region to Bahia and Mato Grosso. It reproduces easily in areas of forest regeneration: Babaçuzais. To obtain the seeds, it is necessary to break the Babaçu coconut, which has a hard bark. Babaçu Nut Breakers are generally women (Quebradeiras) who promote an example of sustainable forest management and cooperative organization, marking women empowerment. Found deep in the forest, Copaíba tree contains an aromatic balsam with several properties inside its trunk.
