FLOCTREAT 3956 is a cationic dispersion with a low to medium molecular weight, and is a water soluble acrylamide-based copolymer supplied as an oil free dispersion of polymer in water. It is effective over a pH range of 3 - 10 and does not contain any oil or surfactants. The polymer molecule contains both hydrophobic and hydrophilic groups. It is used to treat wastewater produced by a wide variety of oil industry operations by bridging between oil droplets and/or suspended solids to form a large, agglomerated mass or flocculant which can be easily removed. It can be utilized in liquid-solid separation processes such as settling, thickening, dissolved air flotation, and centrifugation, either alone or with an organic or inorganic coagulant.

FLOCTREAT 19338 is a proprietary technology, based on polymeric dithiocarbamates, used for deoiler and water clarification applications in oil and gas processing systems.

FLOCTREAT 7856 is a liquid cationic polyamine polyelectrolyte that is resistant to chlorine. It has a low molecular weight with a high charge density. It is used as a coagulant to improve the efficiency of high flow rate water filtration units and has been used with sand, mixed media garnet/anthracite, diatomaceous earth, and polypropylene sock type filters.

It is effective as a flocculant for oil water clarification, particularly suited to induced air flotation, coalescers and separators. It can be dosed neat or diluted in water to prepare stable dispersions for treatment.

FLOCTREAT 7550 is an acrylic based copolymer emulsion effective as a flocculant for oil water clarification, particularly suited to induced air flotation, coalescers and separators. It has excellent handling characteristics and can be applied as supplied into the system without the need for prior dilution.

FLOCTREAT 7924 is an anionic emulsion polymer that has a high ionic charge and molecular weight. It is effective as a flocculant for oil water clarification, particularly suited to induced air flotation, coalescers and separators. It can be dosed neat or diluted by preparing a 0.5 to 1.5% dispersion in water using a let-down system. Normal dosage rates are 1 to 10 ppm.

FLOCTREAT 7844 is a liquid grade flocculating agent that can be used to clarify a variety of industrial waters. It is effective as a flocculant for water streams such as sea water or other source waters used for pressure support in injection facilities. The product can also be used in produced water handling systems to aid clarification. It should be applied as supplied at dose rates of 1 - 10 ppm depending on the system characteristics and solids loading.

FLOCTREAT 15855 is a proprietary technology, based on polymeric dithiocarbamates, used for deoiler and water clarification applications in oil and gas processing systems. It is applied continuously upstream of process locations to improve water quality by reducing high oil or suspended solids. It can be used with water processing systems such as Gas Flotation Units (GFUs), Hydrocyclone Units (HCUs), and gravity settling tanks to reduce settling times and improve flow rates.

FLOCTREAT 7845 is a 40-42% w/w aqueous solution of ferric sulphate used in water injection systems to aid the filtration process. Typical dose levels are 0.1 to 0.5 mg/l as iron.

Hordaphos CC MS is a phosphate ester used as a component for acid cleaning applications. It is suitable for cleaning painted surfaces such as road and rail vehicles (car wash), and for cleaning plants and equipment in the food processing industry, including dairy plants, milking machines, storage fermentation and pressure tanks, as well as sanitary cleaners. It offers higher solubility for various salts and oxides than phosphoric acid, helping prevent precipitates, and is effective even in hard water with low corrosion rates on metallic and non-metallic materials. The protective mechanism is based on several synergistic effects: Thermal insulation: The char layer significantly reduces heat transfer to the substrate Diffusion barrier: The carbon layer limits oxygen supply to the combustion zone and reduces the release of combustible pyrolysis products from the substrate Endothermic reaction: The chemical transformation of the flame retardant withdraws energy from the system and lowers the substrate temperature Through this combination, thermal degradation of the substrate material is delayed, flame propagation is inhibited, and the structural integrity of the material is prolonged in the event of fire.

These so-called terephthalamate greases have relatively high drop points, very good water stability and low penetration values.Depending on the property and application of the grease, mineral oils as well as synthetic oils such as dicarboxylicacid esters, silicones/siloxanes, polyalkylene glycols, polyalphaolefines, alkyl benzenes and polyalkylene ethers can be used as basestocks.

It is a polar polymer of high molecular weight and with multiple functional groups exhibiting a high affinity to metal surfaces. Due to the products high degree of saturation, it shows an excellent oxidative and thermal resistance but also hydrolytical stability.

Hostaphat 1322 is an efficient EP/AW additive with emulsification as well as corrosion inhibiting properties for ferrous metals and aluminum alloys. It is used for metal working fluids (emulsions, semi-synthetic) as well as for rolling emulsions and rolling oils.

Hordaphos MDHX is a phosphate ester (mono- and diester of phosphoric acid) used as an additive in drilling and cutting fluids. It has very high phosphatizing properties and is also used as an extreme pressure/anti-wear additive in mineral oil formulations.

Hostapon SCI-85 P is a mild, high-foaming, anionic surfactant suited for use in syndet bars. It is very mild to the skin and eyes and provides a rich and abundant lather with no soap scum due to its hard water tolerance. This product imparts a luxurious, silky skin after-feel and is very easy to handle and use. Product is supplied as powder.

Hostacor™ IS is a low foaming corrosion inhibitor mainly used in cutting & grinding fluids, in rolling emulsions and water-based hydraulic fluids (HFA-E, HFA-S). It is a solid product and comes in acid form, offering the formulator full flexibility for neutralization. Water-soluble salts of Hostacor™ IS are obtained by neutralization with alkanolamines and aqueous alkali hydroxides. These are used either alone or in combination with other water-soluble corrosion inhibitors or lubricants. Alkanolamine salts derived from Hostacor™ IS are excellent corrosion inhibitors for steel and show very good hard water stability. Hostacor™ IS is compatible with phosphoric acid esters in neutralized form, like Hordaphos MDB. Thus extreme-pressure properties of semi- and full synthetic formulations based on Hostacor IS can be adjusted.

Genapol PS is a EO/PO random polymer and used as a low foaming surfactant and lubricity improver in metal working fluids and metal cleaners. It is stable against hard water. In combination with corrosion inhibitors such as Hostacor IT, clear water soluble metalworking fluids with good lubricating and corrosion protecting properties are obtained.

Hostacor™ 3928 is a water-dispersible corrosion inhibitor with emulsifying properties used for metalworking fluids (emulsions, semi-synthetic, synthetic). The product is clearly soluble in water, dispersible in mineral oils and compatible with non / anionic products. Mineral oil based formulations show no gelation tendency, form spontaneously emulsions and are stable in hard water.

Hostagliss™ L4 is a complex ester and used as lubricity improver and water-dispersable corrosion inhibitor for milky, semisynthetic and neat oil metalworking fluids. Furthermore it is used as synthetic base fluid for rolling emulsions. Hostagliss™ L4 is also listed on the “Lubricant Substance Classification list (LuSC)". Thus suitable for lubricants with European Ecolabel certification.

Emulsogen CNO 080 is a low foaming ether carboxylic acid with excellent emulsification and dispersing properties. It is used for metal working fluids, fire resistant hydraulic fluids (HFA-S) and rolling emulsions. The product is extremely stable against electrolyte and hard water.

Emulsogen™ 5126 MW is an anionic emulsifier for cutting & forming fluids, rolling fluids and fire resistant hydraulic fluids. Furthermore it is a corrosion inhibitor for cutting & forming fluids and rolling fluids.

Emulsogen 3971 is package based on Na/TEA mix salt of a complex amino carboxylic acid/anionic. Its appearance is brownish, clear and oily liquid.

Genagen IS 140 is a fatty acid polyglycid ester based isostearic acid used as an emulsifier in cutting and forming fluids.

Emulsogen COL 020 is a low foaming ether carboxylic acid with excellent emulsification properties.If neutralized with alkanolamines, Emulsogen COL 020 shows good corrosion protection. The product is extremely stable against electrolyte and hard water.

Genamin O 200 is a higher ethoxylated oleyl amine with a lower pour pointt versus the corresponding tallow amine ethoxylate.

Genamin C 100 is an amine ethoxylate based on cocos fatty amine.

Besides its use as an emulsifier, Genapol C 120 shows excellent Adjuvant properties in EC and SC formulations by enhancing performance in foliar applications.

Genapol O 020 is a fatty alcohol ethoxylate and used as a nonionic component in emulsifiable metalworking fluids and water-based hydraulic fluids. Because of its low HLB-value of about 5, Genapol O 020 is preferably used as a co-emulsifier for anionic emulsifiers with high HLB values.

Emulsogen ClO 050 is an electrolyte and hard water stable surfactant with good lime soap dispersing properties. It is low foaming and can be blended with Emulsogen COL types to give relatively low foaming dispersing / cleaning agents.

The product is extremely stable against electrolyte and hard water. Emulsogen MT 050 is a nonionic emulsifier based on a fatty acid alkanol amide with low content of acid and amine. Generally it is used for milky and semisynthetic metalworking fluids. Emulsogen MT 050 is highly compatible with anionic and nonionic surfactants. It has a very low foam tendency and provides outstanding lime soap dispersing power, being able to disperse large quantities of calcium oleate or tallate. Genamin 3920 is also a suitable additive for an adjustment of the buffering capacity. A neutralisation with suitable fatty acids can be necessary.

Emulsogen™ 5781 is a polymeric surfactant, particularly recommended to be used as as nonionic emulsifier in rolling emulsions. Emulsogen™ 5781 is a perfect choice to stabilize a wide range of emulsions. The product forms clear solutions in all types of mineral oils, synthetic esters and vegetable oils. Due to its low HLB, Emulsogen™ 5781 does not form self-emulsifying systems.

This is also true for chromium leaching out of "chromated" or "chromatized" steel parts, in particular when coatings are based on Cr(III)-salts.Due to the high boiling point, Genamin CH 020 is a low volatile component which can be used for high temperature operations, e.g. heavy chip removal operations and emulsion cleaners applied at 80 °C or higher.Genamin CH 020 stabilizes emulsions durable and increases their lifetime also under harsh conditions. Genamin CH 020 is also a suitable additive for an adjustment of the buffering capacity. In Asia, the product is available under the name Genamin CH 020 J.

Emulsogen™ ENF is a nonylphenol-free ready-to use package for de-watering fluids, providing wetting agent and corrosion inhibiting properties to the formulation.A special drying process used in metalworking consists in briefly immersing the metal parts in solvents such as white spirit, kerosene or similar hydrocarbons. The rapid separation of the water from the metal surface is effected by a wetting agent. Selected corrosion inhibitors in the wetting agent impart adequate temporary corrosion protection to the metal parts under normal temperature and humidity conditions. The corrosion protection depends on storage and environmental conditions.Emulsogen™ ENF is tailor-made for this application. It is used at a concentration of only 0.6-1.2%. The water adhering to the metal surface is displaced within a few seconds when metal parts are dipped in the dewatering fluid. The metal parts are then effectivly protected against corrosion during storage.

Exolit OP 945 is a white, fine-grained powder based on an organic phosphinate with a D95 of less than 5 µm. The product is not hygroscopic and it is insoluble in water and common organic solvents like acetone, dichloromethane, MEK, toluene. Dispersogen LFA is used as anionic emulsifier for the emulsion polymerization of vinyl acetate dispersions. Dispersogen LFA is also suitable for emulsion paints to improve the paint freeze-thaw resistance and to reduce solvent use level in the paint formulation.

Genapol PF 40 is a block copolymer of propylene oxide and ethylene oxide, containing 40% w/w ethylene oxide. It is a low-foaming surfactant with good wetting and dispersing action, used in various industrial applications including detergents, emulsion polymerization, pigment preparations, silicone emulsions, and construction products. It improves latex stability, pigment wetting, and acts as an emulsifier and plasticizer in different formulations.

Genapol X 150 is used as nonionic emulsifier for the emulsion polymerization of monomers like acrylates, styrene-acrylates and vinyl acetate.

Genapol O 080 is a nonionic wetting agent for use as compatibilizer in waterborne high PVC paints, as well as in waterborne low PVC lacquers. The general dosage (supply form) is 0.5-1.0% in emulsion paints and 1.0-1.5% in acrylic lacquers.

Genapol O 100 is a nonionic wetting agent for use as compatibilizer in waterborne high PVC paints, as well as in waterborne and solvent-borne low PVC lacquers. The general dosage (supply form) is 0.5-1.5% in emulsion paints and 1.0-1.5% in acrylic lacquers, and 1.5% in alkyd lacquers.

Genapol PF 80 is a polymerization product of propylene oxide and ethylene oxide used as a wetting agent, emulsifier, and antifoaming agent for construction, detergents, industrial and institutional cleaning, and many industrial applications. Genapol PF 80 is used as nonionic emulsifier for the emulsion polymerization of monomers like acrylates, styrene-acrylates and vinyl acetate. It is also used as a reactant for chemical synthesis of polyesters and polyurethanes.

Hostapur SAS 30 is used as anionic emulsifiers for the emulsion polymerization of styrene-butadiene latex, E-PVC and vinyl-acetate dispersions.

Hostapur OS liq is used as anionic emulsifier in emulsion polymerization of styrene/butadiene latex, E-PVC, acrylate and vinyl-acetate dispersions.

Genapol X 080 is a tridecyl alcohol ethoxylate with 8 EO that functions as a nonionic emulsifier, suitable for use in emulsion polymerization of acrylates, styrene-acrylates, vinyl acetate, styrene-butadiene, and E-PVC. It is also a good wetting agent in adhesives and coatings formulations. Furthermore, it offers broad compatibility with anionic, cationic, and other nonionic surfactants, while maintaining strong resistance to both highly alkaline and acidic environments.

PREVOL Z-70 is a liquid foam control agent with very low silicone content for adhesives, coatings and inks based on synthetic latex emulsions.PREVOL Z-70 is very effective during the mixing, dispersing and milling processes. Due to its components, it is easily dispersed and acts immediately to release entrapped air in foam bubbles and to prevent undesired foam built-up. It maintains its efficiency during long periods of agitation.The recommended dosage is 2.4-3.2 kg of PREVOL Z-70 for 1000 liters of paint. This amount is sufficient to control the foam efficiently.In adhesives we recommend dosages between 1-2 % of Antimussol Z-70 based on the total latex solids.This defoamer can be used as it is or as a water dispersion.

Polyethylene glycol dialkyl ethers are well-established absorption fluids for scrubbing waste air and waste gas streams containing a variety of components, mostly solvents and acid gases. Being mixtures of homologues, polyethylene glycol dialkyl ethers have average molecular masses. The higher molecular weight polyethylene glycol dialkyl ethers are thermally and chemically stable substances with low viscosities and low vapor pressures. They are excellent absorbents for AGR processes, mercaptane absorption and VOC abatement. In practice a large number of acid gas and waste gas purification plants are operated with Genosorb™. Gas streams ranging from 0.5 to > 500 000 Nm3/h are treated continuously.

Toluene methylation is an effective and economical solution for maximizing paraxylene (PX) yields by adding a methyl group to the aromatics ring from low-cost methanol. Clariant’s TransMax™ 100 catalyst series allows cost-effective production of PX, without forming benzene as a by-product. By adding methyl groups to the aromatic ring, toluene methylation eliminates the methyl group shortage to yield more xylene over benzene. TransMax 100 catalysts also minimize side reactions typically occurring in toluene methylation, in particular the formation of light hydrocarbons, which is the primary cause for coking. Heavier aromatics are also formed after separation, and are a valuable feedstock for conversion to more xylenes in the transalkylation unit, as the C9+ fraction contains a major portion of trimethylbenzene (TMB).

Dispersogen PA 45 is suitable for pigment slurries and waterborne paint formulations with high pigment content and low viscosity. General recommendation of dosage is 0.3-1.0% w/w on paint formulation.

Genamin A 016 is a cost-effective pH neutralizing agent for waterborne paints and emulsion polymerization. It is a suitable replacement for ammonia and other neutralizing agents such as aminomethyl propanol. Genamin A 016 meets all performance parameters in terms of pH stability, low odor, freeze-thaw stability, controlled color properties, controlled gloss and opacity, stable viscosity and scrub resistance.
