POUR POINT DEPRESSANT FOR MARINE DIESEL APPLICATIONS

DODIFLOW™ 6087

改訂日 :
2026年2月06日

Following the implementation of SECA zones (Sulfur Emission Control Areas) in 2015, the IMO 2020 regulation has now set a sulfur cap of 0.5% for the entire shipping industry globally.

Distillate based Marine fuel also known as marine diesel fulfills both Sulfur requirements and can be used as a universal ship fuel. Depending on the cut point, it may show an increased pour point that does not comply to the requirements of the ISO 8217 (e.g. DMA, DMB).

DODIFLOW™ 6087 is a highly, reliable fuel additive to improve the cold flow properties of low sulfur marine fuel distillates. In addition, it allows to fulfill the pour point specifications according to ISO 8217 as well as to improve the low temperature filterability (CFPP).

Product details
製品機能
  • Pour Point Depressant

DODIFLOW™ 6087 is highly reliable fuel additive designed to improve the cold flow properties of marine distillate fuels. It contains a pour point depressant (PPD) active polymer component that is dissolved in a non-aromatic hydrocarbon solvent.

DODIFLOW™ 6087 has been developed to significantly improve the pour point of marine fuel distillates to help achieve the specification requirements of ISO 8217.

The product is soluble in aromatic solvents (e.g. xylene), kerosene and solvent naphtha.

It is insoluble in both lower alcohol and water.

*These do not constitute a specification.

DODIFLOW™ 6087 can be injected undiluted and requires warming to 40 – 50°C before use. For optimal performance, the temperature of the marine fuel distillate being treated with DODIFLOW™ 6087 should be above the wax appearance temperature (WAT) of that fuel oil.

DODIFLOW™ 6087 is suitable for both summer and winter marine fuel distillate grades. Treatment rates can vary although typical dose rates of between 100 – 500 ppm are usually sufficient to significantly reduce the pour point depending on the fuel oil properties.

For more challenging marine distillate fuels, treatment rates between 500 – 1500 ppm may be required depending on the composition of the fuel oil being treated.

If required, DODIFLOW™ 6087 can be diluted in an aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent in ratios of 1:1 to 1:4.

DODIFLOW™ 6087 is available in steel drums (200 L), road tankers or iso-containers. When stored in the original closed packaging and protected from environmental effects, DODIFLOW™ 6087 has a shelf life of 2 years.

Important: After prolonged storage at lower temperatures, the additive should first be heated and homogenized before further use.

The product is intended for technical use only. Please consult the safety data sheet for further information.

The compatibility with metals, plastics and elastomers were deduced from typical behavior against the containing solvent. The product is compatible for storage in carbon and stainless steel. Other compatible materials are e.g. PTFE and flouroelastomers.
