The preservation of wet wipe formulations is critical to ensuring product safety, stability, and consumer satisfaction. Because wipes provide a moist, nutrient-rich environment that can support microbial growth, effective preservative systems are essential to prevent contamination during manufacturing, storage, and consumer use. This study examines how the number and chemical nature of ingredients within wipe formulations influence preservative efficacy, system robustness, and susceptibility to microbial failure.
