Clariant Mining Solutions Announces New Global Head of Business, John Gordon

• John Gordon brings more than 15 years of experience to his new role
• Gordon will play an essential role in delivering industry-leading products and services to customers

Houston, TX, March 31, 2015 – Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, announces the appointment of John Gordon as the Global Head of the Business Line Mining Solutions, BU OMS, effective April 1, 2015. Gordon brings more than 15 years of industry experience to his new role at Clariant.

Before joining Clariant, Gordon served as General Manager SCM El Abra, Chile for global natural resources company, Freeport McMoRan. He has also held various business development, marketing and sales executive positions across different regions in the oil field.

John holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Duke University and a Masters in Business Administration from the London Business School. He will be located at Clariant's Global BU OMS headquarters in The Woodlands, Texas, USA.
