The first developments concerning biofuel refining started over a decade ago and its importance from a sustainable and circular economy point of view is constantly increasing. Since the very beginning, Clariant was part of this development. We are dedicated to drive our innovative solutions for the biodiesel and renewable diesel production process, purifying all kinds of feedstock such as vegetable oils, used cooking oils, residual oil or animal fats.

The TONSIL® product portfolio hand in hand with profound technology knowledge offers the possibility to remove critical impurities independently of the process and to meet the required quality standards. Our specialty adsorbents are suitable for pre-treatment of the feedstock (HVO, FAME) and post-treatment of the finished product (FAME).
