Acid Catalysts and Carriers

Solid acids for acid catalysis

The K-catalyst series from Clariant represent solid acid catalysts. These can be categorized into catalysts that support applications where specific Brønsted acidity and Lewis acidity is required.

All K-catalysts are mesoporous and macroporous catalysts based on an alumosilicates. Our broad solid acid catalysis portfolio covers catalysts differentiated by their physical and chemical properties. Different levels of acid strengths, acid concentration, cation exchange capacity and porosity are some of key features for helping to identify and select the best catalytic solution for your application. Additionally, a product range of low acidity mesoporous silica and alumosilicates is available.

Our broad portfolio of K-catalysts gives you options to optimize your process for greatest efficiency.
