Clariant recognized with Henkel innovation award for its advanced TexCare® polymer

MUTTENZ, February 9, 2022 - Clariant, one of the world’s leading suppliers of sustainable ingredients and solutions, has been awarded the Best Innovation Contributor Award Laundry & Home Care 2021 – Runner Up, by the consumer goods giant Henkel. The prize recognizes the outstanding performance of Clariant’s TexCare technology and the unique benefits it brings to laundry detergents in North America and beyond.

Clariant was also commended for its strong brand implementation of TexCare, a leading advanced soil release polymer technology for laundry detergents, that combines best in class fiber protection against dirt with environmental benefits, including improved low temperature laundry performance, as well as being available with a high Renewable Carbon Index and biodegradability.

TexCare products form a protective layer, reducing soil from penetrating deep into the fabric. Clothes washed with the help of this top-performing soil release polymer technology are up to six times cleaner than those washed with detergent only - thanks to its soil lift and stain trapper function. The product range also helps preventing the redeposition of dirt during washing, which is the main culprit for greying – making sure white stays white.

The prize was announced at Henkel’s annual awards ceremony for top suppliers, during the 2022 American Cleaning Institute (ACI) Annual Convention.
