Our approach to circularity

Central to our sustainability strategy, circularity is one of Clariant’s six priorities. We recognize that organic chemistry will always depend on carbon, but we are determined to use it more responsibly. By incorporating alternative carbon sources, such as biomass and recycled materials, we aim to reduce our reliance on virgin resources and contribute to a more sustainable future.

EcoCircle—Beyond a product focus, collaboration along the value chain

Our approach extends beyond individual products to encompass the entire value chain. Through our EcoCircle initiative, launched in 2019, we collaborate with partners across industries to support the transition from a one-way plastics value chain to a truly circular economy. This involves not only improving the recyclability of our products but also driving innovation in recycling technologies, enhancing the quality of recyclates, and promoting the responsible use of resources.
